What's the deal with your band name? It sounds like a hardcore band name!

Well, you see... Two events taking place at the points A and B of a system K are simultaneous if they appear at the same instant when observed from the middle point, M, of the interval AB. Time is then defined as the ensemble of the indications of similar clocks, at rest relatively to K, which register the same simultaneously.

Why is everyone so obsessed with ninjas?

Ninjas are the ultimate paradox. On the one hand they don't give a crap, but on the other hand, ninjas are very careful and precise.

Do you guys care about what I have to say or think?

Not in the slightest my friend? But feel free to fill us in on our message board. We?re always up for a good laugh!

You guys are stupid! Your website/lyrics/music/stylish good looks offend me! What can I do about this?

Tell us about it! Like this guy...

Dan

Okay, so I just read your message to us. I really do appreciate your concern for our band. However, unfortunately due to the fact that I happen to disagree, I feel I must send you this urgent message. This being because I worry about people like you. As a "liberal shithead", it is my duty to worry about and try to help others. I know this is a major contrast to your elitist "every man for himself" theory of neo-conservatism. Now, given the fact that 1) you aren't old enough to vote, 2) you have the spelling and grammatical skills of a six-year-old, and 3) You referred to us as "anarchists like green day", I know that most of this will probably fly waaaay over your head. If so, I am truly sorry. Take this into consideration: Outside of that little box that you live and think inside of, there is a world that you most likely know absolutely nothing about. Most people like yourself tend to forget that the United States is not the only country on the planet. Look around the world and follow the president for a while when he's on "diplomacy missions" to our allied countries. Protests. That's what you see everywhere he goes. There's a reason for this. His administration has ostracized us from the rest of the world. There's no conspiracy against the US or anything like that, we have earned our status by bullying others around for decades and now, more than ever, we are paying the price. Now, enough of the world hating us. It's depressing. For someone who claims to "love jesus", I don't believe the phrase "liberal shitheads" is very christian-like. Would Jesus call us shitheads? Doubtful. This brings me to the next thing that i DETEST about the right wing close-minded "christians" like you who are so caught up in your false religious ideologies.... Yelling and screaming so loud about how wrong everyone else is that you drown out the voice of reason and common sense. Quiet down for a second and that voice will tell you that you're a fucking hypocrite. Anarchists? Please. Dan, you are killing me with this one. Ummmm... I voted in this past election, which is more than I can say for you. I'm a politically active person who happens to be majoring in political science in college. I think all of these things, might disqualify me from the anarchy club. As far as Green Day goes....fucking great band, but ummm....not really anarchists though. You see Dan, what Green Day has managed to do, is write lyrics that piss off simple-minded people like yourself. They are definitely not anarchists. It's kind of like when everyone is playing a joke on someone and they all know what's going on, but the person doesn't. Then BAM! joke happens. Everyone laughs. Joke's over. Well this is our joke on you. We liberal shitheads realize that the lyrics are humorous. You people do not. So, the joke is on you. And yes Dan, We are laughing at you, not with you. Then there's the issue of peace.... Man. Peace. Well I have some bad news for you my friend. That God that you hold so much faith in.... The one you pray to.... The one that's going to rescue all of the good christians from people like me. All of the good christians that shut out homosexuals and bomb abortion clinics. You know the ones I'm talking about. The people like......you. Well, that savior; I believe his name is Christ....yeah, he's the "Prince of Peace." Yikes. That really has to sting. Because if peace doesn't and never has existed, well.......... neither does God... I hope you read this with an open mind, Dan. I know you're probably angry now too. Divert that anger into getting active. Do something. Don't sit on your ass writing letters to people you don't agree with. I am flattered, by the way. Get a hold of the local republican party in SA. Maybe you can start a young republican's club at your school with all of the other retarded children. Basically to sum it up, Dan. I really don't give a shit what you think. I am merely writing this to you so I can take cheap shots at you. You left yourself wide open and I'm taking advantage of it. There is nothing I love more than picking on intellectually inferior people. So in closing........ Yes, George Bush is my president. No, I don't like him. No, I'm not moving out of this country. It's people like me that can have so much fun at the expense of idiots like you.

Sincerely, Brandon

I wonder what these guys have to say about gay rights, women's rights, and the incivility of our "Civil" rights?

Soooo.....I was reading the news a few weeks back and I noticed something odd. There was a state that's last newsworthy story was Mt. Rushmore. I am, of course, speaking of the lovely South Dakota. Well, our friends to the north decided on an abortion ban. Not just ANY abortion ban, but an all-out ban....except in the case that the mother's life is in danger. If she is brutally raped though, she must keep the baby. Can someone enlighten me to the logic of this nonsensical load of complete bullshit? Please. I don't want to get too off track here, but stay with me. People ask me what my stance on abortion is, and I tell them that it is none of my business because I am male. It's not my body, so it's not my choice. Am I off on that? I think it makes sense. Well, going with that logic(I believe only women should be allowed to make decisions on abortion laws. NOT THE PERSONAL CHOICE OF GETTING AN ABORTION. That should be up to both.), I found out that less than 25% of the S. Dakota legislature was comprised of women. Wow. Just wow. So, we could then make the connection that, once again, a male-dominated body of people made a law that only affects females. Why isn't anyone asking more questions about this? Why is it that when the Jesus crowd decides to impede on civil liberties it's okay, but if a liberal does it, the right wing gets all up in arms? If California decides people can't smoke in public....oh man, it starts a riot. When the president decides to listen in on your phone calls without a warrant....oh that's ok.

Alright, next topic: Gay rights. Now, I got an e-mail a while back from a fairly intelligent person that opposed my stance on gay marriage. He explained that homosexuals are not minorities and all of that other conservative rhetoric. He actually thought his position out though, and I appreciated it. So anyway, my question is: if gays are not a minority, why are there laws being put in place that only affect them? My biggest problem with the whole argument from conservatives, is the "It's their choice to be gay" position. The worst part.....they are actually serious. Nevermind the fact that if you ask pretty much any homosexual, they will let you know he or she did not choose that lifestyle. More and more research is being done to disprove the rights position, and I'm glad. Why can't intelligent people grasp the fact that some men are born with a bit more estrogen running through them, and some women with more testosterone? Why isn't the medical community more behind this cause? Oh, that's right. Lobbying money from the Christian right to keep their lips sealed. That's my theory. It goes right along side my theory that Christians created the AIDS virus to punish people that engaged in promiscuous sexual activity. I won't get into that either. The point is, the homophobia in this country is so rampant, that common sense has been thrown out the window. What happened to tolerance? For that matter, why is accepting homosexual relationships even considered tolerance? What is there to "tolerate?" So yeah, even though there is supposed to be a seperation of church and state, apparently there was an ommission when it comes to something that defies "Christian values."

The point to this whole rant is that your liberties, my liberties, and everything this country was founded upon is being absolutely and inconsequently demolished. Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, and all of the other cronies in this joke of an administration have apparently decided, "who needs the Constitution?" The saddest part.....You and I are not doing enough to stop it. Listen, we are in an election year. A very important one. If the republicans gain a few more seats in the legislature, it's over. You can kiss everything this country has accomplished in the past 20 years good-bye. Please, no matter what state you are in, vote democrat. Aside from the fact that Bush should be impeached for about 30 different things, the republicans in congress should be removed as well. For those of you that support a third party, you are not alone. I would love to see the two-party system currently in place completely dismanteled. Now is not the time though. We need to help the dems cease more control before we worry about a third party. This administration and it's buddies in congress have caused so much damage to this nation in the past five years, that it will probably take ten just to fix it. The rebuilding begins this year.

So, in closing, it is up to us. If you think that banning gay marriage and abortion is more important than providing healthcare and education, vote republican. If you think that wreckless spending (to the tune of a $9 trillion national debt) is okay, vote republican. In that budget, if you believe it's cool to spend over $60 billion on wars, but less than $20 billion on rebuilding the gulf coast, vote republican. If you want the current group of idiots in power to handle the next hurricane Katrina, vote republican. If you would like to see us invade another country that hasn't attacked us, vote republican. If you want our kids learning about creationism as opposed to evolution, vote republican. If you are an arrogant, moralistic person whose head is burried so far up your ass that you can't see what's right in front of you......vote republican. I'm out. Thanks for reading.

An update from Skull Bustin' Dustin

What's up Prevail Within' fans and friends,

This is Dustin Butler (aka SKuLL BuStiN Dustin), the old band mate of Brando and Jordan in the Red Reverse days. I am currently serving as a volunteer for the Peace Corps right now all the way the fuck out in the boon docks of the northern Philippines. I appreciate Jordan asking me to write you all about my experience here so far and boy do I got some crazy shit to share for you. First off, I never realized just how luxurious living in the Western world really was until you get here. Not only is it a couple degrees below hell but you can kiss all of your rights that you had in the U.S. goodbye once you get off the plane. True, America is not without its problems, especially now more than ever, but I guess you never really realized how lucky you were to have the right to even express your resentment towards your elected or somewhat elected leaders until you get here. I am not even really allowed to talk politics here or atleast have my views printed or protested and in some ways that makes me glad. It only makes me glad that I definitely lived up my bitch card while I was in America, especially in the days where I jammed with the boys in RR, and I can't wait to have that right back again. I used to think in a way that I should feel bad for my lack of patriotism but now I know that speaking out against the status quo is what makes the states so bad ass to live in. You're only doing your country a favor by complaining to only make things better, and that does not mean you are going against your country. It is going against your country to lay on your back and take it. I think that Prevail Within, by keeping their personal political beliefs strong, is definitely doing their audience and opponents a big favor. Its good to see that they take advantage of rights that I really dont have anymore. Their opposition only shows their good will. Anyways, enough political shit outta me, considering I have no clue whats going on in Uncle Sam Land right now. Lets talk about some crazy shit that might be able blow a few minds. So far, I have ridden on waterbuffalos, been chased by a one handed monkey (scary as shit by the way), and I live with a family that raises fighting cocks. And you want to talk about religion being shoved down your throat. Damn, its pretty intensly Catholic over here. It kinda makes snake handling Baptists seem like agnostics. But all in all it is sooooooooo bad ass to be here. I have done tribal bon fire dances, eaten exotic fruits and food that I couldnt even begin to describe to you. And I have met a hospitality from these people that couldnt even make hell seem homely. Its amazing how much people smile over here, considering there is so much suffering. Maybe thats what keeps them going through their lives and through the day, just laughing it off and enjoying each others company. I can't wait to show the pictures to all of you, its unbelievable. its hard to believe I've already been here a month. Time is weird here, the days go by like weeks, and the weeks go by like days. Honestly though, if anyone gets the chance to fly out the the Philippines, and if your not staying more than a month....DON'T. It takes about that long to get over the jet lag. That plane right makes ya want to kill yourself. You go through an exercise of liquor, dinner, dinner, liquor, liquor, liquor, dinner, you watch a movie, another movie, two more four hour movies, and.... YOU STILL HAVE 16 FUCKIN HOURS TO GO!!!! So one thing is for sure, I am not getting on that flight again for a longgggggggggg time. In fact maybe I should just stay here, j/k. However, if you do want to join the Peace Corps, I sooooo recommend it. Its the hardest job you'll ever love. Right now I am training to work in the biggest rain forest in the philippines, doing reforestation and ecotouring (to help raise money for the Dumagat and Negrito tribes). The people here are a very warm and caring culture and the other volunteers are just cool ass down to earth people. It really brings out the best in you. Well, I talked long enough but an experience like this gives you alot to say. Take care of yourselves, enjoy what you got, and don't put an idea like the Peace Corps past yourself. You may be shocked at how much this job could be meant for you. Congrats to Prevail Within for their record deal and to the fans, stay loyal because I know that you are the reason they have kept in the ball game. See you in two years,

The asshole of all assholes,
Skull Bustin Dustin

Are all of you vegetableatarians or whatever?

ugh! for the last time, YES!! we are all vegetarians... no, we're aren't going to die because we don't getenough protein and no we aren't skinny because of it... but maybe thats why all of you are fat and have health problems... ever think about that fatty fat fat fatso?

What are you guys so pissed about?

September 21, 2006

So, it's an election year and I can just feel the neocon fear machine gearing up for another round of scare-tactics and propaganda. For the record, I am predicting an "October Surprise" of some sort(definitely terrorist related...the capture of a high-ranking member of Al Qaeda or something similar, so as to prove that only one party can properly handle terrorism and conjure up as much fear as possible). Chances are, the government already has big news(or plans), but will wait until right before the election to release the information, so that they can maximize the political gains. It has happened before and I expect the same again. We've already had numerous "threats" foiled just to remind America that terrorists ultimately seek our demise. However, this election year I am going to ask my fellow citizens for a small favor. Think for a minute. Use a little introspect. Since 2001, what has the republican majority done? Well, besides rubber stamp every single bill the president wants passed. The reason that neoconservatives keep going back to the same well repeatedly is because we haven't yet sent them the message that it is now empty. Look at their agenda. What domestic policies have made the United States a better place? Healthcare, education, social security, fixing the deficit???? Go through the legislative records of the ruling elite and you will see, as I have, that absolutely nothing has been done. We are so enthralled with war and fear, that our representatives have gotten away with almost complete impotence on domestic policy, and failed foreign policy. Our leaders parade around the events of 9/11 without any regard or consequence for their shameless politicization of that tragic day and use it at every opportunity to further extend the most anti-American agenda in history. In the same breath however, they disregard the shortcomings of the federal response to hurricane Katrina, the ignoring of repeated warnings leading up to 9/11, Osama bin Laden still living as a free man, and of course-the fact that every single justification for the war on Iraq has been totally disproven. We are dealing with incompetence on a level never before seen in this country. It's time they pay for this inaction.

First of all, terrorism doesn't scare me. Not a single bit. Maybe I am caught in that "pre-911 mentality" that Karl Rove and Ken Mehlman always speak of, but when I wake up in the middle of the night, my nightmares do not consist of Osama bin Laden standing before me with a jar of cyanide or a bomb strapped to his chest. I don't fear the next attack. I am not afraid of Islam. I do not lose sleep over the Bird Flu, Anthrax, Communism, the supposed attack on Christianity, tax increases, or the institution of marriage. I am more perplexed by the attack on Democracy, global warming, tax cuts for the filthy rich, families ravaged by divorce, the outsourcing of jobs, the massacre of innocent Iraqis, gas prices, the impending war with Iran, homophobia, and this overzealous never-ending "War on Terror", which to me resembles more of an inquisition than a real war. To put it plainly: I am more cogniscent of my own government's incompetence, their current agenda, and the fact that no one seems to be paying attention to the ridiculous amount of power the executive branch has granted itself. That being said, I will not under any circumstances live my life in fear. Ever.

This administration has turned its back to the American people repeatedly and there have been no repercussions. George Bush and his army of cronies have disregarded our laws, our constitution, and everything we stand for. For so long, we have taken our freedom and liberties for granted and all of it is disappearing before our very eyes. The checks and balances that make our democracy work have been systematically dismantled. Congress' powers have been abused to the point that the job of our representatives to "represent" their constituents has all but been completely replaced by representing the president and corporate special interests. Never, in the history of the United States has a the executive been given more power than this one. Through two world wars, a Civil war, and a Revolutionary war, not one leader has had the power of a king or dictator until now. Many have even been offered and refused that power. With the help of a very misguided and incompetent congress, a putridly corrupt senate, and an activist-ridden judiciary (ohhh... the irony), this administration has redefined our democracy to be inclusive to dictatorial governance.

In closing, tell me if this sounds familiar: "It is natural for the common people to not want war but, after all, it is a country's leaders who determine policy and it is an easy matter to convince the people. Whether they have a voice or not, the people can always be made to do what their rulers wish. It's easy. All you have to do is tell them they are under attack and condemn the pacifists for their lack of patriotism and for exposing their country to danger". That wasn't a quote from the president, vice president, or even an American. The man's name was Marshall Goering, a Nazi during WWII. The irony of this quote is unbelievable. If you flip on FOX News, you will see pundit after pundit repeat that "pacifists are emboldening the enemy, liberals side with the terrorists, Al Qaeda is rooting for Ned Lamont in Connecticut", and so on. It's beyond insulting, but the good news is that the opposition is now the majority. In democracy the majority makes the rules, and if our democracy is functioning correctly we have the power to change our course. True conservatives and progressives need to find their common ground and realize that we are more alike than we are different. I am sick of the insults for short-sighted political gains and the shameful bickering. No more fighting. No more domestic wars to promote self-serving and hateful agendas. It's time for some fucking unity. The day is coming very soon when we will need to rise up and rid this country of the governmental disease that is the current administration and its allies. We, as Americans believe in liberty, freedom, and all that is right and good. We cannot let this monumental disaster of a president render our dissent as futile. We have a right and an obligation as patriots in this nation to do what is in our best interest, as does our government. They have failed us in that duty over and over again, and it is high time they pay the price for their actions. If this nation continues down the same path of eroding liberties, morality, and testicular fortitude, the terrorists will truly have acheived what they were seeking in the first place. The United States has been the victim of a continually flawed policy, and the only way to fix that is on November 7th. The people in power, republicans especially, must go. We need to ask ourselves these questions: Are we going to forfeit our civil liberties, live in fear, and submit to our governments every action? Or, are we going to stand up and truly defy the people that seek our destruction by doing something we have done for over 200 years... Celebrate our freedoms by using them. That is the only way that our actions will ever speak louder than the words: "Proud to be an American." Thanks for reading.
